Our analysis looked at 32 schools in Illinois to see which basic certificate programs were the most popular for computer science students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Information Technology program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Moraine Valley Community College to be the most popular school for information technology students who want to pursue a basic certificate in Illinois. MVCC is a large public school located in the suburb of Palos Hills.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend William Rainey Harper College. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Information Technology Basic Certificate Schools in Illinois list. Harper College is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of Palatine.

About 13% of the students majoring in IT at the school are women while 88% are male.
