To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Computer Science Degree Search has created its Most Popular Information Technology Basic Certificate Schools in the Southeast Region ranking. This report analyzed 118 schools in the Southeast Region to see which ones were the most popular basic certificate programs for computer science students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Information Technology program at each school on the list.

Lawrenceville, GA

Our 2023 rankings named Gwinnett Technical College the most popular school in the Southeast Region for information technology students working on their basic certificate. Located in the large suburb of Lawrenceville, GTC is a public college with a medium-sized student population.

About 26% of the students majoring in IT at the school are women while 74% are male.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide is a great place for information technology students working on their basic certificate. Embry-Riddle Worldwide is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the small city of Daytona Beach.
