Our 2023 rankings named University of Kentucky the best value school in Kentucky for computer science students working on their master’s degree. University of Kentucky is a large public school located in Lexington, Kentucky that handed out 5 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state graduate students at UK are $33,548 a year.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at UK. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 57% took at least some of their classes online.

NKU is a public institution located in Highland Heights, Kentucky. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 32 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
NKU graduate students pay an average of $15,594 in tuition and fees each year.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at NKU. In 2019-2020 about 96% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Murray State University. The school came in at #4 on this year’s Best Value Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in Kentucky list. Murray State is a medium-sized public school situated in Murray, Kentucky. It awarded 17 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state graduate students at Murray State are $14,544 a year.

WKU is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky and has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 1 master’s degrees to qualified students.
WKU graduate students pay an average of $18,340 in tuition and fees each year.
WKU does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 81% took at least some of their classes online.
In addition to its best value ranking, and one of the reasons why the school is on the list, WKU is ranked #3 for overall quality in Kentucky.
With a ranking of #7, Sullivan University did quite well on this year’s best value schools for computer science students working on their master’s degree. Located in Louisville, Kentucky, the small private for-profit school handed out 19 master’s degree awards in 2020-2021.
Out-of-state tuition fees for graduate students at Sullivan University are $15,840 per year.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Sullivan University does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. In fact, around 54% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
