To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our 2023 rankings named George Mason University the most popular online school in the Southeast Region for computer information systems students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large suburb of Fairfax, GMU is a public school with a very large student population.

Women make up 23% of the CIS majors at the school.

CIS majors at GMU take out an average of $23,765 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $218.

Gainesville, FL

Out of the 45 online programs at schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Florida landed the # 2 spot on the list. UF is a very large public school located in the city of Gainesville.

Women make up 19% of the CIS majors at the school.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, CIS majors at UF accumulate an average of around $20,340 in student debt. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $214, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

Out of the 45 online programs at schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, American Public University System landed the # 3 spot on the list. Located in the town of Charles Town, American Military University is a private for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 17% of the CIS majors at the school.

On average, CIS graduates from American Military University take out $27,492 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree.

Out of the 45 online programs at schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Kennesaw State University landed the # 4 spot on the list. KSU Georgia is a very large public school located in the suburb of Kennesaw.

Of the 246 students majoring in CIS at KSU Georgia, 72% are male and 28% are female.

CIS majors at KSU Georgia take out an average of $30,861 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree.

Out of the 45 online programs at schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Liberty University landed the # 5 spot on the list. Located in the city of Lynchburg, Liberty University is a private not-for-profit college with a very large student population.

Of the 213 students majoring in CIS at Liberty University, 77% are male and 23% are female.

The average amount in student loans that CIS majors at Liberty University take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $30,098. This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $408, based on a 10-year repayment plan.
