Our 2023 rankings named University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign the most popular school in the Great Lakes Region for computer science students working on their master’s degree. Located in the small city of Champaign, UIUC is a public school with a fairly large student population.

About 20% of the students majoring in compsci at the school are women while 80% are male.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at University of Dayton helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular computer science schools in the Great Lakes Region . Located in the city of Dayton, UDayton is a private not-for-profit school with a large student population.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Chicago. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Most Popular Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region list. UChicago is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Chicago.
