To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Computer Science program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Massachusetts Institute of Technology to be the most popular school for computer science students who want to pursue a degree in the New England Region . MIT is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the city of Cambridge.

The average amount in student loans that compsci majors at MIT take out is $10,538. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $682, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend University of Massachusetts Amherst. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Computer Science Schools in the New England Region list. Located in the large suburb of Amherst, UMass Amherst is a public college with a fairly large student population.
