This report analyzed 71 schools in the Middle Atlantic Region to see which ones were the most popular bachelor's degree programs for computer science students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Information Science program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Maryland Global Campus the most popular school in the Middle Atlantic Region for information science students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large suburb of Adelphi, UMGC is a public college with a very large student population.

Women make up 21% of the IS majors at the school.

The average amount in student loans that IS majors at UMGC take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $24,611.

Out of the 71 schools in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Maryland - College Park landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the suburb of College Park, UMCP is a public school with a very large student population.

Women make up 31% of the IS majors at the school.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, IS graduates from UMCP carry an average student debt load of $19,558. This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $246, based on a 10-year repayment plan.
