This report analyzed 84 schools in the United States to see which ones were the most popular online bachelor's degree programs for computer science students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for IT majors pursuing an online bachelor's degree.

Salt Lake City, UT

Our analysis found Western Governors University to be the most popular school for information technology students who want to pursue an online bachelor’s degree in the United States. Located in the large suburb of Salt Lake City, WGU is a private not-for-profit college with a very large student population.

Of the 1,711 students majoring in IT at WGU, 93% are male and 7% are female.

IT majors at WGU take out an average of $18,645 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means American Public University System is a great place for information technology students working on their online bachelor’s degree. Located in the town of Charles Town, American Military University is a private for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

About 16% of the students majoring in IT at the school are women while 84% are male.

The average amount in student loans that IT majors at American Military University take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $27,474.

The in-demand online bachelor’s degree programs at ECPI University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best information technology schools in the United States. Located in the large city of Virginia Beach, ECPI University is a private for-profit college with a large student population.
