To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Information Technology program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Moraine Valley Community College the most popular school in Illinois for information technology students working on their associate degree. MVCC is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of Palos Hills.

Of the 34 students majoring in IT at MVCC, 94% are male and 6% are female.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Southwestern Illinois College is a great place for information technology students working on their associate degree. SWIC is a medium-sized public school located in the large suburb of Belleville.

Women make up 16% of the IT majors at the school.

On average, IT graduates from SWIC take out $10,603 in student loans while working on their Associate Degree.

The in-demand associate degree programs at College of DuPage helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular information technology schools in Illinois. COD is a very large public school located in the large suburb of Glen Ellyn.
