To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Information Technology program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for IT majors pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Our analysis found The University of Texas at San Antonio to be the most popular school for information technology students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Texas. Located in the large city of San Antonio, UTSA is a public school with a very large student population.

Of the 355 students majoring in IT at UTSA, 82% are male and 18% are female.

The average amount in student loans that IT majors at UTSA take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $23,037. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $162.

Out of the 15 schools in Texas that were part of this year’s ranking, Texas A&M University - College Station landed the # 2 spot on the list. Texas A&M College Station is a very large public school located in the midsize city of College Station.

About 23% of the students majoring in IT at the school are women while 77% are male.

This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $138, based on a 10-year repayment plan.
