This report analyzed 137 schools in the United States to see which ones were the most popular graduate certificate programs for computer science students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Information Technology program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Naval Postgraduate School to be the most popular school for information technology students who want to pursue a graduate certificate in the United States. Located in the midsize suburb of Monterey, Naval Postgraduate School is a public college with a small student population.

About 18% of the students majoring in IT at the school are women while 82% are male.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Phoenix - Arizona is a great place for information technology students working on their graduate certificate. Located in the large city of Tempe, UOPX - Arizona is a private for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

About 36% of the students majoring in IT at the school are women while 64% are male.

The in-demand graduate certificate programs at University of Maryland Global Campus helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular information technology schools in the United States. Located in the large suburb of Adelphi, UMGC is a public college with a very large student population.

Women make up 35% of the IT majors at the school.

Out of the 137 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, Sans Technology Institute landed the # 4 spot on the list. Sans Technology Institute is a small private for-profit school located in the suburb of Bethesda.
