UT Austin does offer online classes for certain degree levels. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 99% took at least some of their classes online.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend University of Phoenix - Arizona. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Best Computer Science Basic Certificate Schools in the Southwest Region list.
Online courses are available at UOPX - Arizona, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In 2019-2020 about 100% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Out of the 19 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, El Centro College landed the # 3 spot on the list.
Some students may be able to take online classes at El Centro College. In fact, around 92% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.

Students from Texas who attend Collin County Community College District full time pay an average of $3,094 in tuition and fees. Out-of-state students pay an average of $5,104.

You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. During the 2019-2020 year, about 95% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
The excellent basic certificate programs at Tarrant County College District helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the best computer science schools in the Southwest Region .

Oklahoma City Community College ranked #6 on this year’s Best Computer Science Basic Certificate Schools in the Southwest Region list.
Full-time students from Oklahoma pay an average of $4,059 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend OCCC. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $9,810.
If you are interested in distance education, OCCC is an excellent choice, since the school is online.
Austin Community College District did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for computer science students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #7 on the list.
Full-time students from Texas pay an average of $8,580 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Austin Community College District. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $10,590.
One thing to take note of is that Austin Community College District does offer online classes in some areas. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 99% took at least some of their classes online.
The University of Texas at San Antonio landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best basic certificate computer science programs.
In-state students pay an average of $9,231 in tuition and fees if they attend UTSA full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $21,528.

With a ranking of #12, The University of Texas at Arlington did quite well on this year’s best schools for computer science students working on their basic certificate.

Pima Community College ranked #13 on this year’s Best Computer Science Basic Certificate Schools in the Southwest Region list.
Students from Arizona who attend Pima County Community College District full time pay an average of $2,250 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $7,566.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at Pima County Community College District. In fact, around 52% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Texas State Technical College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for computer science students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #14 on the list.
TSTC does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. In 2019-2020 about 97% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
With a ranking of #15, South Texas College did quite well on this year’s best schools for computer science students working on their basic certificate.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at South Texas College is $4,530. Out-of-state students pay an average of $7,920.
One thing to take note of is that South Texas College does offer online classes in some areas. In 2019-2020 about 94% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Amarillo College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for computer science students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #16 on the list.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Amarillo College is $3,168. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $4,704.
Online courses are available at Amarillo College, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 57% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Tulsa Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for computer science students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #17 on the list.
Full-time students from Oklahoma pay an average of $3,445 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Tulsa Community College. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $8,845.
One thing to take note of is that Tulsa Community College does offer online classes in some areas. In 2019-2020 about 80% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Oklahoma State University - Oklahoma City landed the #18 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best basic certificate computer science programs.
Students from Oklahoma who attend OSU-OKC full time pay an average of $5,070 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $10,908.

Angelo State University ranked #19 on this year’s Best Computer Science Basic Certificate Schools in the Southwest Region list.
Students from Texas who attend Angelo State full time pay an average of $8,186 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $17,978.
