To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Computer Science Degree Search has created its Best Computer Science Master's Degree Schools in the Southeast Region ranking. This report analyzed 109 schools in the Southeast Region to see which ones offered the best master's degree programs for computer science students. Factors related to overall quality of the school, post-graduation earnings, average student debt, and more accumulated were considered when coming up with this list.

Our 2023 rankings named Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus the best school in the Southeast Region for computer science students working on their master’s degree.
One thing to take note of is that Georgia Tech does offer online graduate classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 88% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Vanderbilt University. The school came in at #4 on this year’s Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region list.

George Mason University ranked #7 on this year’s Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region list.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since GMU does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 87% took at least some of their classes online.
James Madison University came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region ranking.

Virginia Commonwealth University ranked #13 on this year’s Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region list.

Emory University landed the #14 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best master’s degree computer science programs.

University of Florida landed the #15 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best master’s degree computer science programs.

William & Mary ranked #16 on this year’s Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region list.

With a ranking of #17, The University of Alabama did quite well on this year’s best schools for computer science students working on their master’s degree.

With a ranking of #18, University of Alabama in Huntsville did quite well on this year’s best schools for computer science students working on their master’s degree.

University of Georgia did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for computer science students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #19 on the list.

With a ranking of #20, Auburn University did quite well on this year’s best schools for computer science students working on their master’s degree.

University of Arkansas did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for computer science students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #22 on the list.

Harding University ranked #23 on this year’s Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region list.
Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at Harding. During the 2019-2020 year, about 31% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
University of Central Florida came in at #24 in this year’s edition of the Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region ranking.
UCF does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 79% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #25, The University of Tennessee - Knoxville did quite well on this year’s best schools for computer science students working on their master’s degree.
Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at UT Knoxville. During the 2019-2020 year, about 36% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
