To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Phoenix - Arizona the most popular school in the United States for computer science students working on their associate degree. UOPX - Arizona is located in Tempe, Arizona and has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 630 associate degrees to qualified students.
On average, associate degree students take out $23,839 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 32% of those degree recipients were women.
In 2019-2020 about 100% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means ECPI University is a great place for computer science students working on their associate degree. ECPI University is a fairly large private for-profit school located in Virginia Beach, Virginia that handed out 471 associate degrees in 2020-2021.

Trident Technical College landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular associate degree computer science programs. This fairly large public school is located in Charleston, South Carolina, and it awarded 149 associate degrees in 2020-2021.

With a ranking of #15, Georgia Military College did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for computer science students working on their associate degree. University of the People came in at #17 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Online Computer Science Associate Degree Schools ranking. University of the People is a private not-for-profit institution located in Pasadena, California. The school has a large population, and it awarded 80 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
