This report analyzed 38 schools in the Southwest Region to see which ones were the most popular basic certificate programs for computer science students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Computer Programming program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for programming majors pursuing a basic certificate.

Our analysis found University of Phoenix - Arizona to be the most popular school for computer programming students who want to pursue a basic certificate in the Southwest Region . UOPX - Arizona is a very large private for-profit school located in the large city of Tempe.

Of the 222 students majoring in programming at UOPX - Arizona, 79% are male and 21% are female.

Amarillo, TX

Out of the 38 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Amarillo College landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the medium-sized city of Amarillo, Amarillo College is a public school with a moderately-sized student population.

Of the 52 students majoring in programming at Amarillo College, 79% are male and 21% are female.
