Our analysis looked at 153 schools in the United States to see which master's degree programs were the most popular for computer science students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Information Science program at each school on the list.

The following schools top our list of the Most Popular Information Science Master's Degree Colleges.

Our analysis found University of Maryland Global Campus to be the most popular school for information science students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the United States. UMGC is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of Adelphi.

Of the 462 students majoring in IS at UMGC, 58% are male and 42% are female.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of California - Berkeley is a great place for information science students working on their master’s degree. Located in the midsize city of Berkeley, UC Berkeley is a public college with a fairly large student population.

About 36% of the students majoring in IS at the school are women while 64% are male.

Out of the 153 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign landed the # 3 spot on the list. Located in the small city of Champaign, UIUC is a public school with a very large student population.
