This report analyzed 53 schools in the New England Region to see which ones were the most popular bachelor's degree programs for computer science students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Computer Information Systems program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for CIS majors pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Our 2023 rankings named Southern New Hampshire University the most popular school in the New England Region for computer information systems students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the medium-sized suburb of Manchester, SNHU is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

About 20% of the students majoring in CIS at the school are women while 80% are male.

On average, CIS graduates from SNHU take out $35,692 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Northeastern University is a great place for computer information systems students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the city of Boston, Northeastern is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 25% of the CIS majors at the school.

CIS majors at Northeastern take out an average of $23,841 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree. For students who choose a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly student loan payment is $582.

The in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at University of Massachusetts - Boston helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular computer information systems schools in the New England Region . UMass Boston is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Boston.

About 15% of the students majoring in CIS at the school are women while 85% are male.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, CIS majors at UMass Boston accumulate an average of around $25,819 in student debt.

Women make up 14% of the CIS majors at the school.

New Haven, CT

Out of the 53 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Yale University landed the # 5 spot on the list. Yale is a large private not-for-profit school located in the city of New Haven.

About 36% of the students majoring in CIS at the school are women while 64% are male.

Central Connecticut State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for computer information systems students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. CCSU is a medium-sized public school located in the large suburb of New Britain.

About 8% of the students majoring in CIS at the school are women while 92% are male.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, CIS majors at CCSU accumulate an average of around $21,992 in student debt.
